Quilted Frances Valentine

Hi Dolls!

If you know anything about me, you know we love a good co-ord set. Sets are just my thing. I love a “matchy, matchy” moment. I was randomly on the Frances Valentine’s website a couple of months ago and saw this fun quilted look and thought I needed to add that to my closet.

(Just a quick PSA, I’m trying to do this thing where I don’t purchase items full price. In an effort to save money and not spend so frequently, I’m really trying to think about the pieces I bring into my closet, aka cost + worth. This set full price (including tax) was over $600, which was an immediate no. I could not justify spending that amount of money on a bright orange quilted set. Is it cute? Absolutely. Is it worth $600? Maybe, if I had that to spend, but I don’t. So…I waited and moved on. Being a fashion blogger and wanting to become a better fashion blogger, I put pressure on myself to buy the latest and greatest just to “keep up.” But in 2023, we aren’t doing that anymore. We can wait for pieces to go on sale. Most of the time I don’t have this problem, for example, I have never purchased anything full price from J.Crew or even LoveShackFancy. However, higher end designers, I have…but not anymore.)

So back to the set….I waited and right after the new year, the pieces went on sale plus an additional percentage off. And, of course, I bought the look. And guess what, it’s still on sale with loads of sizes left. I styled my set with a navy and white turtleneck from J.Crew (purchased on sale), J.Crew Mary Janes (also on sale), J.Crew Earrings (you guessed it, on sale) and my go to Anthropologie navy round bag. I really love this look and am glad to add it to my closet. Below I have linked the items.
