Selkie Did the Damn Thing!

We could call this post “Plaid 5.0,” but this dress is too special to be lump in with my regular J. Crew Tartan.

In fact, this dress may be one of my favorite purchases in a long long time. I saw it briefly on a Selkie live and went ahead a did some screenshots of it. I waited patiently for the release and even set an alarm on my phone. Trust and believe, I placed my order the day it came out.

The dress came super fast, and is way more spectacular in person. Truth be told, I was really nervous about it because I’m 33 years old. Like am I too old for these frilly dresses? Honestly who cares, I love it so much and I also know this won’t be everyone’s cup of tea...but who cares! The tartan, the lace, the ruffles and the poof…it’s me in Christmas in a dress! I paired it with Jeffrey Campbell black Mary Jane platforms from Nordstrom’s, some frilly socks and a Kate Spade black bag. I also added my favorite pearl necklace and earrings…and I really love how this look came together. Now all I need to do is find some place to wear it!
