Maroon Bells Pt.1

Happy Monday Dolls!

One of the places my husband really wanted to see while on our family vacation in Aspen was Maroon Bells.

The Maroon Bells are two peaks in the Elk Mountain range. In front of the peaks is a small lake, and together makes the prettiest nature composition. Besides being my fashion photographer, he also likes taking pictures of nature. He definitely had to go and take take some pictures. Luckily for us, or unlucky really, it snowed the night before we went. Although it was 31 degrees, windy and so cold we couldn’t walk the trail, the pictures came out spectacular. I knew when my husband said he wanted to go to Maroon Bells, I had to some fun fashion photoshoots in nature too….well, my version of nature. So I packed a couple of outfits and dreamed the warmest thoughts so I could and pose in the snow, which I’ve never done. But besides taking warming breaks in the car, the experience of shooting wasn’t that bad. And if I’m having to stand in the snow for shot, at least I can look at this beautiful view.

FASHION

In my head, when I thought Aspen, my mind immediately went to Anthropologie. In fact, most of my Colorado outfits came from Anthropologies. Feel free to sponsor me anytime lol.

I saw this beautiful overall set and thought it would be a great outfit for sightseeing in Aspen. These overalls are so unique yet comfortable and I love the tie detail straps. The wide-legs allowed my to wear quarter length yoga pants underneath for added warmth. Oh, and did I mention this piece is currently ON SALE! I paired it with a tissue turtleneck from J Crew, a wide brim hat (also from Anthro) and my Gucci loafers. While sightseeing, I paired it with my go to black Moto jacket for a layer of warmth. I love this outfit so much, and it will definitely be on repeat for the fall. Below I have linked all my outfit details.
