Driftwood Beach
Happy Tuesday!
The COVID Summer of 2020 has been a little crazy…and besides working from home and limiting activities, vacation has kinda been a no go. My husbands work schedule changed during the pandemic and he hasn’t had two days in a row off since March!
However, last week he had Wednesday & Thursday off! So we decided to take a little trip to Jekyll Island for one night. Although we both have lived in Georgia almost all our lives, we had never been. We stayed at the amazingly historic Jekyll Island Club Resort. This hotel dates back to the 1880’s. If you don’t know the history of Jekyll island and the Guilded Age, please take a look. It’s so fascinating!
We did a trolley tour, toured William Rockefeller’s vacation home, saw sea turtles, went to the beach and ate loads of seafood! One of the coolest things we did was go to Driftwood beach to watch the sun rise! This beach is so beautiful, it’s a photographers dream! Except…for the biting gnats! They swarmed us like no bodies business. I have nine big bites as I write this. Because of the gnats, we only stayed 10 minutes, but my husband was able to capture some really great pictures!
These photos were taken and edited by my husband, Russell Kish. He takes all my photos but I edit my blog post. I wanted this post to be a opportunity to show you all his amazing skills behind the camera and computer. I hope you enjoy!
xoxo
