Victoria Beckham X Estee Lauder

Happy Monday!

I'm so excited to discuss the fantastic collaboration between Victoria Beckham and Estee Lauder.  When Estee Lauder first announced that they were releasing a collaboration with her, I jumped out of my seat and began counting down the days until the launch, which was on September 21st.

Why the excitement?  Well, ever since I was a little girl I have had an obsession with the Spice Girls.  Yes, "the girl power lovin, wannabe best friend gettin, spice up your life," best selling female group of all time, Spice Girls.  I had CD's (including individual singles), books, VHS tapes, dolls, posters, candy, etc... I owned everything Spice Girls (and still have, except the candy of course).  Although they no longer make music together as a 5-piece, my devotion to them never waivered.  To this day, whenever any member does something, I try my best to support them. When Mrs. Beckham published her bestselling "That Extra Half an Inch," I bought it because she's a Spice Girl and, more importantly, one of my style icons.  Hence, my excitement about the makeup collection!

Victoria Beckham X Estee Lauder released a collection of 17  items ranging in price from $30-$92.  The collection is divided into four different looks representing four cities: London, Paris, New York and Los Angeles.  Although the collection is now almost entirely sold out, I was lucky enough to get everything I wanted on launch day.  I gravitated towards the Parisian look because it's something I normally wouldn't wear.  I purchased two metallic eye metals in Bitter Clove (London) and Charred Emerald (Paris), the eye foil in Burnt Anise (Paris), and lipstick in Chilean Sunset (Paris).

This collection is truly amazing!  The packaging is slick and chic, mixing gold and leather.  The colors are gorgeous and pigmented.  The eyeshadows apply smoothly with little to no fall out. Charred Emerald and Bitter Clove have flecks of green and gold glitter to add to the metallic finish.  The glitter, while noticeable, isn't overpowering and is easy to remove.  The eye foil adds an extra sheen to the gorgeous metallic finish of the shadows, although it's not a "to die" for product.  I actually ordered it after everything else because I was curious about its function.  I had never heard of eye foil.  It's almost like a tinted eye gloss.  The Chilean Sunset lipstick is reddish orange with a cremesheen finish and will be a lipstick I wear frequently.

The coloring of the collection is impressive.  From my experience, sometimes when brands release specialty collections, they don't necessarily work for my skin tone or girls with a little more pigmentation (.....MAC X Cinderella).  It can be disheartening.  The colors I purchased, as well as the six color palette, will look good on a host of skin tones.

I'm wearing the Burnt Anise eye foil , eye metal in Charred Emerald and Chilean Sunset lipstick.  I love this collection and wish I could own it all.  My must haves would definitely be the eyeshadows and lipsticks. The collection is very luxurious, sexy, high performing and wearable.  If you're a makeup enthusiast or love Vicky B and the Spice Girls, I say go for it.  My congratulations to Victoria! I can't wait to see what she releases next!  Go check out the collection here!
